Company history
DBL Logistics was formed in 1983 by Bert and Linda Clarkson, originally as South Yorkshire Distribution Services, delivering white goods to private households in the North of England.Bert and Linda’s son, David, became managing director in 1998 and took over the running of the business, with Bert becoming operations director. This led to the creation of the DBL initials and the business as we know it today.
We moved into our flagship £2million 33,500sqft Huntsman Depot and office building in Sheffield in 2013, a move which enabled us to double our capacity to 6,000 pallets.

Supporting the city of Sheffield
Our Sheffield roots are something we are extremely proud of, and we have a continued commitment to have a positive impact on the local community, aiming to give back as much as possible.
We are proud supporters of local youth housing charity Roundabout. We carry the charity’s branding on our vehicles to help raise awareness in and around the city, and over the years we have raised and donated thousands of pounds for the charity.
We are dedicated to supporting grassroots and professional sport in the city of Sheffield, and our sponsorship portfolio has included, or still includes: Sheffield United (football, 2014-16), Sheffield Eagles (rugby league) Sheffield Sharks (basketball) and local professional boxer Sam O’Maison.
