Be aware and plan ahead in snow, warns FTA

Treacherous road conditions thanks to snow and ice have already been causing chaos for drivers across parts of England and Wales over the past few days prompting FTA to warn its members to watch the weather and plan journeys accordingly.
Forecast snow has already taken its toll on many roads across the country and FTA is working with its members to help keep them moving, safe and informed of further weather developments.
FTA's own traffic service is once again providing vital amber and red alerts for winter weather, and operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The FTA website contains advice for both managers and drivers on dealing with poor weather conditions, which can be found in the roads section.
